Test results

You can view recent tests and investigation results on the NHS App.

Blood test results can take one to two weeks to come back and imaging can take four to six weeks after you have had the test or investigation done.

We do not routinely contact patients if their results are normal.

The clinician that requested your test may contact you if the result is abnormal or they need to discuss the result with you. If they need to discuss the result with you they may ask you to book a non urgent, routine follow up telephone appointment.

A clinician will contact you directly if there is any result that needs URGENT follow up.

Please note that we do not always have access to results that were ordered by a clinic or hospital clinician and you should contact them directly rather than Essex Lodge Surgery for these results.
